National Fire Prevention Week runs from Sunday, October 4 to Saturday, October 10. This year’s theme is “Serve Up Fire Safety in the Kitchen.”
Cooking is the number one cause of home fires and home fire injuries. Unattended cooking is the leading causes of kitchen fires.
Resources and more information on National Fire Prevention Week can be found on National Fire Protection Agency’s website and kid targeted fire safety resources can be found on NFPA Kids Sparky the Fire Dog’s page.
